A new atlas and macroscopic wood identification software package for Italian timber species

The atlas and accompanying software allows the identification of 48 Italian timber species based on a recently proposed list of macroscopic features for wood identification. Inter alia, for each genus covered by the atlas, information of CITES-listing status is provided.
