Global Timber Tracking Network (GTTN)

GTTN is a network for organizations who are Network Partners, and individuals who make up the Expert Network. GTTN promotes the operationalisation of innovative tools for species identification and for determining the geographic origin of wood to verify trade claims. It is structured in three levels: i) working groups on standardisation of methods, database development, and communication, policy and advocacy; ii) expert committee that provides technical and expert support to the steering committee; and iii) a steering committee that provides strategic guidance and advice on project operations and conduct regional workshops on timber tracking issues.
