Timber identification of CITES-listed trees, wood anatomy, DNA barcoding, solid wood products, plywood. Based on the largest wood collection of China and professional wood identification laboratory, the group developed wood anatomy, DNA barcoding, computer vision and chemical fingerprinting techniques and established a wood identification database for CITES-listed tree species. The group published more than 60 relevant research papers, 5 authorized patents and more than 15 academic books.
