Wood identification (mainly wood anatomy and DNA barcoding), development of databases and scientific reference wood collection (125,000 samples), publications, outreach, implementation CITES-listed tree species, including ebony woods (Diospyros and Ebenaceae). According to the information provided to the Secretariat, Naturalis laboratories (link below) have state of the art equipment to perform wood anatomy and DNA barcoding.
