The Secretariat welcomes the arrival of Mr Robert Bolješić as its Senior Scientific Officer. Mr Bolješić, a Slovene, has extensive experience in different aspects of implementation of CITES. Within the Secretariat’s Scientific Support Unit, he will assist Parties in matters related to fauna. Mr Bolješić was previously working for the Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning of the Republic of Slovenia. He was largely involved in capacity building and awareness activities in South-East Europe.
