The Depositary Government of the Convention, the Swiss Confederation has informed the Secretariat that Sao Tome and Principe has deposited its instrument of accession to CITES with no reservation or declaration, making it the 155th Party. The Convention will enter into force for this country on 7 November 2001.
Sao Tome and Principe is an island State in the Gulf of Guinea, western Africa.
