In Cameroon, the issuance of CITES export permits for species listed in the Appendices of the Convention is made separately and independently from the issuance for CITES export and import permits for plants because different departments are responsible for animals and plants respectively. It makes the monitoring of these species rather complex to the Management Authority. Hence the purpose of this study, which took place in the Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife.
